Curcumin

Orange-yellow color, derived from turmeric, a member of the ginger family.

Riboflavin

Also known as Vitamin B2. It plays a key role in energy metabolism and the matabolism of fats
Number: E101

Tartrazine

Common yellow colouring. One of the "Southhampton 6" additives which should be avoided. Tartrazine (E102), Quinoline Yellow (E104), Sunset Yellow (E110), Carmoisine (E122), Ponceau 4R (E124) and Allura Red (E129)

Studies by the UK Food Standards Authority showed increases in Hyperactivity, temper tantrums in children.

FSA has made recommendations to the British Governement that these additives should be removed from production.

Quinoline yellow

Common yellow colouring. One of the "Southhampton 6" additives which should be avoided. Tartrazine (E102), Quinoline Yellow (E104), Sunset Yellow (E110), Carmoisine (E122), Ponceau 4R (E124) and Allura Red (E129)

Studies by the UK Food Standards Authority showed increases in Hyperactivity, temper tantrums in children. May also cause rashes and asthma.

Banned in Australia, Japan, USA and Norway.
