Several years ago my wife was given a book on Food Additives which changed her attitude to food. When a a mother's thinking towards food changes then so too does the diet of her family. All of a sudden the margarine was replaced with butter, artificial sweeters were tossed in the bin, white bread is big NO-NO, replaced by wholemeal and whole grain bread and the list goes on. Now our kids prefer fruit, plain crackers and cheese over crisps and lollies. And on the occasions that they do indulge at friends houses or birthday parties we can see the difference in their behaviour for days. Especially hyperactivity and moodiness.
We were lucky enough to be educated on the dangers of the food going into our shopping trolley. And we cared enough to make a difference. Many of the parents we talk to about this just shrug and say something along the lines of "If I worried about everything that gave me cancer I'd be dead already, ha ha!" But, it's really not funny.
This goal of this site is to bring related news and articles from various sources around the web into one location and present them in an easy to navigate structure. Most of the articles that you'll find on this site are usually lost in the Health and Science section of News Media sites. This site is updated every few days with quality articles related only to Bad Food Additives and related health issues.
The next stage of development is a comments facility for readers to tell us about their experiences or just provide comments on individual articles. If the comments facility proves popular we may consider development of a forum for users to openly discuss issues and ask questions.
